Wrap Around Care

At St Michael’s Prep School, we understand how difficult it can be to tie in school hours with work and other commitments, so we are delighted to offer our families wrap around care.

The clubs are run by qualified and experienced members of St Michael’s Prep staff and your children are looked after in a safe and secure environment where they socialise with friends and take part in a wide variety of creative activities.

Before School Care

Early Risers (Pre-School) - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7.30am-8.15am

From September 2026, we are delighted to introduce Early Risers, providing a warm, safe and familiar start to the day for our Pre-School children. Available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7.30am-8.15am during term time, children are cared for by qualified and experienced members of St Michael's staff. They have the opportunity to socialise and play with friends before being accompanied to their classroom, helping them to begin the school day feeling happy and settled.

Breakfast Club (Reception to Year 8) - Monday to Friday 7.30am-8.00am

Breakfast Club takes place Monday to Friday 7.30am-8.00am during term time. During this time the children have access to our Hive room and garden: they enjoy breakfast whilst playing with friends and preparing for their school day.

Early Risers

After School Care

The Mini-Hive (Pre-School) - Monday to Friday 4.00-6.00pm

The Pre-School learning day finishes at 3.20pm. If you require a little extra time, you can book our complimentary Relax and Unwind session which runs for 30 minutes and must be booked in advance.

Additional wrap around care is available through the Mini-Hive. This service can be booked by the hour, for a maximum of two hours per day, Monday to Friday 4.00pm to 6.00pm during term time.

Children are cared for by qualified and experienced members of St Michael's staff in a familiar and safe environment where they can socialise with friends and enjoy a variety of creative activities whilst they unwind from the school day. A freshly prepared sandwich tea is provided.

The Hive (Reception to Year 8) - Monday to Friday 4.00-6.30pm

The Hive is open Monday to Friday 4.00pm-6.30pm during term time. In the Hive our children enjoy a plethora of creative activities and games whilst learning new skills including sewing and baking. Every day in the Hive is different and filled with fun!
