A warm welcome to our delightful Breakfast Club children. It’s so lovely to see so many happy smiling faces first thing in the morning.

In preparation for our fast approaching Christmas Bazaar at the end of next month, both the After- School Club and the Breakfast Club have been busy little bees helping to make a wide variety of exciting crafts to sell on our stall. The Breakfast Club children have helped to make felted wreaths, pom-pom snowmen and pipe cleaner bumble bees, and the After-School Club children have been enthusiastically painting stones, twigs and wooden slices of tree bark, transforming them into cute little bird table-top decorations. Children have also started to make some gorgeous felted Christmas trees and reindeer pom-poms. In between all our lovely craft work, we have also found time to sponge paint a tree, make some hand-printed leaves and construct a couple of beehives for our next wall display.

Once again children have been enjoying a spot of gardening and have loved pulling up and taking home the last of our homegrown carrots and tomatoes. Spring bulbs have now been planted and hopefully next month our parsnips and marrows will be ready for picking.

The Foosball table and Didi cars have been a favourite this month, with many children participating in road traffic control and car maintenance.

Groovy footwork has also been taking centre stage both in the Breakfast Club and the After School Club as children have had loads of fun dancing and playing musical statues.

Our beautiful butterfly pom-pom rug is now finished and will hopefully be fluttering its way onto one of our walls shortly.

Wishing you all a wonderful half term!

Mrs Smith and the Wrap Around Care Team

  • My son began his journey at St Michael's last Friday in the Nursery class and, one week on, I have to write to say how impressed I am and how thrilled we are with our decision to send him to such an amazing school. The approach to settling them in has been perfect!

  • St Michael’s is a wonderful school. Fantastic teachers, a nurturing environment. It has suited our three children who are all very different in their academic and pastoral needs. Thank you.

  • St Michael's is a place where I can let my imagination run wild.

  • We were struck by the warmth and kindness of everyone we met; pupils as well as staff. We believe in giving our son the right start and instilling in him the joy of learning and satisfaction from achievement. We can see this happening at St Michael’s

    Prospective Parent
  • My daughter has had such a wonderful school life at St.Michael’s. We really couldn’t have asked for a better school for her in terms of academic life, extra-curricular activities and friendship groups. We still can’t believe how quickly the time has flown by and that she will soon be leaving!
