P & F

The Parents & Friends (P&F) Association plays an important role in bringing the St Michael's Prep School community together. Through a range of events, fundraising activities and volunteering opportunities, the P & F helps to strengthen connections between families, staff and pupils whilst supporting initiatives that enhance school life for everyone. As parents of St Michael's, you are automatically part of the P & F; you do not need to sign up to an official committee to be part of the community - although we do how committee roles for those parents who are keen to play a more active role in the decision making of the association and contribute to the planning of events.

We warmly encourage all parents to engage with the P & F, attend meetings where possible and keep up to date with events and news to ensure their family gains the very most out of their time as part of the amazing St Michael's community.

Keep an eye on this section of the newsletter each week as well as ClassList and the below Whatsapp group for updates about upcoming events including this year's Christmas Bazaar.

P & F school kit sale

On Monday we will be running a school kit sale featuring a range of items that aren't sold in the school uniform schools. From ballet and judo uniforms to seasonal sports equipment, we have a number of nearly brand new items which have been outgrown by families and are ready to be passed onto their next owners for a reasonable price.

P & F charity and community support

The P & F is excited to be growing its support for local charities and community partnerships this year and would love your input on two things:

1. Do you have a local charity that you would like to nominate as a possible beneficiary of our fundraising efforts?

2. Do you have links with / know of local charities or community organisations that might benefit from volunteer support from our parent community? We are especially keen to identify stand-alone activities and events for which we can organise group support, rather than ongoing weekly commitments that might better suit individuals.

Please email your suggestions to stmichaelspreppf@gmail.com by Friday 25th September for discussion at the upcoming P & F meeting.

We look forward to hearing from you!
