We are delighted to announce St Michael's recent success in becoming National Judo Champions.

At the start of May a team of 14 St Michael's pupils travelled to Egham, Surrey to compete in the annual IAPS Judo Championships across the weekend of the 9th and 10th. Prep schools from across the country were invited to attend with bouts based on age and weight.

The tournament kicked off with a very feisty and skilful girls’ section, resulting in the school becoming the overall National Champions of the competition. There were outstanding performances from all players that participated in this event with 2 Gold medals, 3 Silver medals and 1 Bronze medal being achieved.

On Sunday 10th May, it was the boys' turn: some strong and feisty fighters saw them gaining 4th place overall and a seriously strong medal haul including 3 Gold medals, 2 Silver medals and 2 Bronze medals.

Everybody that took part in this event conducted themselves in the true spirit of judo and we congratulate them all. We are extremely proud of the St Michael's pupils and they should be very proud of themselves.
