Year 3 pupils were transported back to Ancient Egypt on Friday 20th June as they took part in an immersive Egyptian Day experience.

Led by workshop company History Off the Page, St Michael's children and staff dressed head to tie in Ancient Egyptian costumes whilst taking part in a range of interactive activities to enhance their knowledge of the historical period.

During the morning the children visited an Egyptian market place where they made Egyptian artefacts ranging from scarab beetles to parchment paper. This was followed by a royal feast in the afternoon complete with entertainment devised by the pupils.

An amazing day of learning had by all!
