We were delighted to hear that Year 3 pupil, E Julio was selected to represent Kent County 8U tennis team this past weekend at the annual South East inter-county team event held at the Bromley Tennis Centre. The tournament was between Kent, Middlesex, Surrey and Sussex and she was one of four girls selected to represent Kent.

Mr Julio told us “In a very close tournament Kent and Middlesex were tied for the trophy after all matches were played and the two teams then played in a best of 5 playoff. Unfortunately Kent lost the playoff 2 matches to 3 but the team played exceptionally well to collect 2nd place.” E Julio won 2 of her 3 single matches and 2 of her 4 double matches.

Having started to play tennis in Reception, when her parents took her for her first lessons, she started training as part of the Kent Tennis 8U Training Squad in April this year. We’re looking forward to following her progress!

  • My son began his journey at St Michael's last Friday in the Nursery class and, one week on, I have to write to say how impressed I am and how thrilled we are with our decision to send him to such an amazing school. The approach to settling them in has been perfect!

  • St Michael’s is a wonderful school. Fantastic teachers, a nurturing environment. It has suited our three children who are all very different in their academic and pastoral needs. Thank you.

  • We were struck by the warmth and kindness of everyone we met; pupils as well as staff. We believe in giving our son the right start and instilling in him the joy of learning and satisfaction from achievement. We can see this happening at St Michael’s

  • My daughter has had such a wonderful school life at St.Michael’s. We really couldn’t have asked for a better school for her in terms of academic life, extra-curricular activities and friendship groups. We still can’t believe how quickly the time has flown by and that she will soon be leaving!
